With just under a month to go until Stevenage's biggest Live music event of the year we are pretty excited with the line up we put together this year....
Every year we try to mix it up a bit with predominantly local based bands and a main stage headliner from past or present. This year we had a stella line up on both stages looking promising to be the busiest event yet. With social media really grabbing a hold this year in the run up with more interaction than we have ever seen there was also the new stage /music area layout which was being talked about. This year we were back joining forces with ESS Hire for the staging and sound design and were really excited to have a whole segregated area for the music and food/drink court all combined for the first time ever giving a real festival vibe. The new double stage area will give the opportunity for non stop music with a roll on roll off plan between acoustic and main stages with no interruptions.
With Rock In The Park coming back last year for the first time since 2003 it seemed the right thing to do after we took on the music at Stevenage Day in 2012, giving the Festival side a name for people to talk about. If 2016 was anything to go by then this year will be what hopefully puts RITP back on the map.
This year you can expect to hear music from a selection of Hertfordshire's very best musicians of the moment including Mark Sullivan, Cardinal Kings, Darline and main stage headliners Chrongen who are jetting off to the US for a tour straight after the show!!!
