HATFIELD MUSIC FESTIVAL

With PRZ Live really stamping it's name on the local scene and further afield, we were very excited when we got offered the job of running sound at this year's Hatfield Music Festival!

The yearly event held in Birchwood playing fields was expecting a record crowd of 3,000 plus in attendance and it was a new gig for us so we really wanted to impress. With an eclectic line up of bands and solo artists we were looking forward to seeing the stage and working out a rigging plan. When we done the initial site visit it was clear we needed a big rig to fill the gargantual sized field we were working with and had a set up in mind! We looked to a system we had heard in action recently which was the DB Audio array system which looked to work perfectly at this event.

On the day we rigged in the mini array system for front of house and used our awesome Yamaha DSR 115 set up for stage monitoring all controlled by our latest desk the Allen and Heath QU32 which made this rig a great sounding option. After the initial soundcheck we were overly happy with everything and looked forward to the day ahead.

All of the artists on the day were awesome and we had some amazing feedback on the sound, which really cut through a big crowd in a wide open space. You can hopefully catch it all again next year at the same place and we will let you know about it in plenty of time! In all a great festival and hats off to the organiser Lenny who put together a great day. Really looking forward to getting involved again next year!
