MAGIC HOUSE

We have had a couple of visits recently from the Magic House boys this month, they were doing some rehearsals getting ready for their Album Launch party gig which took place on the 18th April @ 93 Feet East in London.

Magic House are a four-piece rock outfit with its soul firmly rooted in London. The band’s angsty vocals, powerful melodies and fierce guitar riffs cultivated a dedicated following in the 90s London Brit Pop scene.

Magic House rose to fame following its Steeltown Promotions battle of the bands win, and went on to support The Stranglers, The Damned, Hawkwind and Marc Almond at Dracfest, Paul Weller at Don Valley Stadium, Skunk Anansie, Travis and Australian legends Even. Magic House’s huge following in Spain demanded no fewer than three tours of the country.

In 1999, the band’s most loved single, Millennium Skies, was released on the infamous ‘Fierce Panda’ records – the label that discovered and released tracks by Oasis, Coldplay, Placebo and Keane.

When the pressures of the industry took their toll, its members morphed into other successes, including Eskimo Disco, Whitey, Echobelly, The Singularity and drinkme, all of which led to records released across the globe.

Twenty years on, Magic House is back with a retrospective album on BMG/Den with the release due in March.
